Bernd Bernsteiner (born November 25, 1980 ) is an Austrian football player on the position of a striker . He currently plays for FC Gratkorn in the second-class Austrian first division .

Career

Bernsteiner began his career at FC Lankowitz in Styria . In 2002 he joined the first team at ASK Köflach via Kapfenberger SV . After two years in Köflach , he moved to DSV Leoben in the second Austrian league in 2004 . In 2005 he returned to Köflach to switch to ASK Voitsberg in 2006 . Since 2007 he has been playing for Kapfenberger SV, with whom he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2008. Bernsteiner made his debut in the Bundesliga on July 9, 2008 against LASK Linz . He was substituted in the 61st minute by Arno Kozelsky . Bernsteiner scored his first two Bundesliga goals against SCR Altach on August 29, 2008 in a 3-2 win. After a relatively successful season in the Bundesliga, Bernsteiner moved back to the second highest Austrian division and signed with FC Gratkorn .
