Bernd Bressem (born June 4, 1965 in Hamburg ) is a former German soccer player .

Career

The trained shipping clerk Bernd Bressem moved in 1985 from the association league club FTSV Komet Blankenese to the Bundesliga for Hamburger SV . In Hamburg he played one season under coach Ernst Happel , who replaced him in six games.

After the Bundesliga year, Bressem moved to Rot-Weiß Oberhausen on loan to the 2nd Bundesliga at the end of September after a four-week injury break . Here he came in 1986/87 to 22 missions and in a game at SV Darmstadt 98 to his first goal in professional football. “I feel really good here. But the way it looks at the moment I'm going away, ”said the then 21-year-old in April 1987.“ I think I can make higher demands on myself in terms of football, ”said Bressem at the time.

After the 1986/87 season, in which RWO saved himself from relegation, he initially returned to Hamburger SV. However, he was no longer accepted by the professionals and a club that wanted to pay a planned transfer of DM 150,000 was not found. From February 1988 he was eligible to play for the HSV amateurs and immediately went to work.

In the following years Bressem found only lower class clubs for Bressem. He still played for the then top division club VfL Wolfsburg , Concordia Hamburg , Altona 93 , again Komet Blankenese and SV Halstenbek-Rellingen .

Until December 2012 Bressem was the coach of the second team of SV Halstenbek-Rellingen (district league), in March 2013 he took up the position of coach at TSV Holm (also district league). He remained in office in Holm until April 2015.
