Bernd Fiedler (born December 8, 1955 ) is a German tax advisor , sports official and holder of the Federal Cross of Merit .

Life

Bernd Fiedler has been a member of the Berlin football club SFC Stern 1900 since 1967 and has been chairman of the club since December 1989, which he has supported as vice chairman and treasurer since 1981. For almost as long he was volunteer at the BFV and the DFB (1989–2009). He was a member of the tax and economic affairs committee of the DFB. He also coached different Stern 1900 teams and won two Berlin championships (1992 and 1993) and cup winners (1993) with the young league (U23), and the 1999 Berlin cup winners with the second men's team.

Fiedler is considered a critic of the Berlin football associations and the DFB. In 2004 he actually wanted to succeed Otto Höhne as BFV President, but then went into the "opposition" against the then Vice President Helmut Salisch and supported the then treasurer Bernd Schultz in his candidacy for the chairmanship. He later became a critic of the newly elected President Schultz. In 2017, for example, he was critical of the awarding practice and the expansion costs of the expansion of the BFV's headquarters. He was also the proponent of a resolution by Berlin associations that tried to improve the distribution of television money to amateur associations in 2017, and which was presented at the BFV Association Day 2017. As part of this, he ran, as in 2004, for a post in the Presidium of the BFV. As a result of the Association Day 2017, there was a legal dispute before the BFV sports court over the resolutions. However, a mutual agreement was reached.

At the end of the 2015/16 season, Stern 1900 as runner-up was actually not directly qualified for promotion to the top division. But Fiedler saw, ultimately in vain, a chance for promotion, as a club that had not been relegated from the league had to leave the league due to the insolvency of 1. FC Neubrandenburg 04 .

In 2011 he received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon. In the same year, the financially troubled league competitor Stern 1900 Tennis Borussia Berlin was financially supported .
