Bernd Köppl

Bernd Köppl (born September 25, 1948 in Günterod ) is a German doctor and politician ( Bündnis 90 / Die Grünen ). He was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives from 1983 to 1985 and again from 1989 to 2001 .

Life

Bernd Köppl completed an apprenticeship as an electrician and took the Abitur examination after the second educational path . This was followed by a degree in political science, which he completed in 1978 with a doctorate at the Free University of Berlin . Later he also completed a medical degree.

Köppl was the managing director and medical director of the Sana Health Center (SGZ) in Berlin until 2009.

Bernd Köppl was one of the founders of the Alternative List for Democracy and Environmental Protection in West Berlin . He first became a member of the Berlin House of Representatives through rotation in 1983, to which he was a member until 1985. He was a member of parliament again from 1989 to 2001. Afterwards he was science coordinator in the Berlin Senate Administration.

Köppl was particularly committed to health issues such as smoking bans.
