Bernd Klaus (born December 19, 1967 in Stuttgart ) is a former German soccer goalkeeper and soccer coach.

Career

Klaus played for FV Zuffenhausen in his youth . In 1989 he moved to SpVgg 07 Ludwigsburg in the Oberliga Baden-Württemberg , and in 1994 to the Stuttgarter Kickers in the Regionalliga Süd . In 1996 he and his team were promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga . He played his first professional game on October 20, 1996, when the Kickers lost 2-1 at home to FC Carl Zeiss Jena . By the 2000/2001 season, Bernd Klaus played a total of 46 second division games.

After the end of his active career, Bernd Klaus worked from February to June 2003 as the coach of the top division club SpVgg 07 Ludwigsburg.
