Bernd Klaus Jerofke

Bernd Klaus Jerofke is a German author , publisher and theater educator . He is best known for his plays, which are often performed in school and amateur theater, as well as for novels and non-fiction books.

Life

Jerofke first appeared as a cabaret artist and actor in the Nuremberg area . Increasingly, he shifted his focus of activity to work as a theater teacher and director. He staged with various theater groups and headed the theater education center of the Altmark Theater in Stendal . In the district of Northeim he founded and directed the theater Die Bühnenstürmer .

After the first stories, essays and cabaret texts, his debut novel 'Männliche Ortswechsel' was published in 1986. Stories, detective novels and radio plays, as well as reflections on time and culture, impressions and sound poems followed. Jerofke lives in Dassel .
