Bernd Kuhn (rudder functionary)
Bernd Kuhn (born 1948 ) is a coach , a former referee and functionary in rowing .
Athletic career
Bernd Kuhn first worked as a trainer from 1966 to 1974 at RC Bodan in Überlingen , then from 1975 to 1978 at RC Undine Radolfzell . From 1986 he worked again at RC Bodan in Überlingen.
As a referee, he was active in rowing nationally and internationally for over 25 years.
As a functionary, he was a member of the competitive sports committee of the German Rowing Association for many years and from 1972 to 1976 the chairman of the state rowing association Baden-Süd and from January 1, 1976 to April 2008 on the board of the state rowing association Baden-Württemberg, whose chairman he from 1992 and was appointed honorary chairman in 2008. In addition to his function as a member of the associations, he was chairman of the Überlinger RC Bodan from 1970 to 1972 , from 1975 to 1978 chairman of sports at RC Undine Radolfzell and again from 1986 to 2014 on the board of the Überlingen RC Bodan, of which he was again chairman in 1994 Honorary Chairman he was appointed in 2014.
Honors
On September 29, 2009, Bernd Kuhn received the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon from Prime Minister Günther Oettinger , which was awarded to him by Federal President Horst Köhler .
