Bernd Pickel

Bernd Pickel (born March 4, 1959 in Nuremberg ) is a German lawyer and President of the Higher Regional Court in Berlin .

Pickel grew up in Berlin and graduated from high school there. In 1987 he passed the Second State Examination in Law and then worked as a judge at the Berlin Regional Court and the Schöneberg District Court . In December 1992 he was seconded to the Superior Court. In 1994 he was appointed judge at the Court of Appeal and in 1999 he was appointed Vice-President of the Court of Appeal.

From September 1, 2005, the doctor of law was President of the Berlin Regional Court. On December 4, 2015, the Berlin Justice Senator Thomas Heilmann presented Pickel with the certificate of appointment as President of the Court of Appeal.
