Bernd Schubert (athletics trainer)
Bernd Schubert (born May 14, 1945 in Freital ) is a German athletics trainer.
Life
Bernd Schubert was the last head coach of the GDR Athletics Association . After the reunification he worked as head coach at LAC Chemnitz . He later held the same position at DLV until October 1, 2004 . He then worked in the junior runners division of the LAC Erdgas Chemnitz and continued to work for the DLV as a federal base coordinator for athletics.
In 1992 he confessed to participating in the systematic and state-prescribed doping in competitive sports in the GDR .
