Bernd Schuppener

Bernd Schuppener (born November 24, 1952 ) founded Hering Schuppener Unternehmensberatung für Kommunikation GmbH in 1995 together with Ralf Hering. Schuppener has been honorary professor for communication management in the Communication Management department at Leipzig University since 2006 , chairman of the board of trustees of the Günter Thiele Foundation for Communication and Management (formerly: SPRL Foundation for the Promotion of PR Science at Leipzig University) and author.

Life

After studying philosophy in Frankfurt am Main , as well as journalism, psychology and literary studies in Mainz in 1980, he received his doctorate magna cum laude. phil. He then worked as a research assistant at the University of Mainz. In 1982 he joined the Second German Television (ZDF) as a consultant for strategic corporate planning for the then director Dieter Stolte. From 1986 he worked at ZDF as a senior editor for domestic politics. In 1990 he moved to the PR agency ABC / EUROCOM in Frankfurt am Main as managing director. In 1995 he founded Hering Schuppener Unternehmensberatung für Kommunikation GmbH with Ralf Hering, from which further subsidiaries emerged.

Schuppener was a lecturer at the University of Marburg and the University of Leipzig. In 2006 he was appointed honorary professor for communication management at the University of Leipzig. There he is also a member of the advisory board of the LPRS - Leipziger Public Relations Studenten eV Schuppener is one of the developers of the Communication Scorecard, a model of communication management that measures communication in key figures of business management analogously to the Balanced Scorecard according to Robert S. Kaplan and David Norton. and makes it controllable and thus integrated into strategic corporate management.

Bernd Schuppener is the author of various philosophical publications that deal with profound and unconscious aspects of life from a holistic, practical perspective.
