Bernd Sures
Bernd Sures (born January 25, 1967 in Datteln ) is Professor of Aquatic Ecology at the University of Duisburg-Essen . His research focuses on ecotoxicology and research into parasites , especially fish parasites, in aquatic ecosystems.
After his teacher training of biology and chemistry , which he from 1988 to 1993 at the Ruhr University Bochum pursued, he received his doctorate in 1996 at the University of Karlsruhe . From 2004 he was a university lecturer there. Since September 2006 he has been a professor at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
Among other things, Sures is the recipient of the Karl Asmund Rudolphi Medal of the German Society for Parasitology , which he received for extraordinary achievements in the field of parasitology.
