Bernd Teigky

Bernd Teigky (born April 22, 1952 ) is a former German football player who played in 1972 for FC Karl-Marx-Stadt in the top division of GDR football , the GDR Oberliga .

Athletic career

Bernd Teigky played his first game for the first men's team of FC Karl-Marx-Stadt (FCK) in the 1970/71 season, in which FCK played in the second-rate GDR league after being relegated from the league . In the 24th match, Teigky came on in the 66th minute for striker Karl-Heinz Zeidler . It remained Teigky's only competitive game for the first team this season, in which the immediate promotion was achieved. In the following two seasons Teigky only came to two league appearances, and he was called up in three cup games. In 1972/73 the second team of FCK played for the first time in the GDR league, and Teigky played 13 of the 22 point games. After Teigky's five GDR league games and his first goal in higher-class football in 1973/74, FCK II was relegated to the district league for one season . After the immediate return to the GDR League, Teigky came there in 1975/76 for another twelve missions. After this season, the FCK hired its 2nd team and Teigky moved to the GDR league club Kali Werra Tiefenort . There he became a regular player for seven seasons, of the 154 point games he played 137 games and scored seven goals. 1983/84 was Teigkys last season in the higher leagues. As a 32-year-old, he could look back on 14 seasons in which he had completed four league games (no goals) and 175 GDR league games (eight goals). From 1988 to 1990 he coached the BSG Motor Schweina soccer team, which he helped advance to the third-class district league in 1989.
