The Berner SE is a Europe operating group of companies and act in direct sales of supplies, tools and workshop equipment. The group of companies developed from Albert Berner Deutschland GmbH and is based in Künzelsau .

history

In 1957, the entrepreneur Albert Berner founded a screw business in the basement of a residential building in Künzelsau with 3,000 marks in start-up capital and an old car. In 1969 Albert Berner founded the first foreign companies in Belgium, Switzerland, France and Austria. Further international foundings and acquisitions followed.

In the early years, Berner's customers were almost exclusively car workshops. At the beginning of the 1970s, the range was expanded to include products for the building trade and a close-knit network of branches spanned across Europe. Today the group of companies generates most of its turnover in the construction sector.
