Bernhard Dolna

Bernhard Dolna (* 1954 ) is a Roman Catholic theologian and Judaist .

Bernhard Dolna studied theology and philosophy in Vienna and Freiburg im Breisgau. He wrote his dissertation with Gisbert Greshake on the life and work of Abraham Joshua Heschel .

He specialized at the University of Vienna with Kurt Schubert in the field of Jewish religious philosophy, where he submitted his master's thesis on Maimonides and his criticism of the Ilm al-Kalam in 2005.

The theological focus of his research is dedicated to the relationship between Judaism and Christianity .

Bernhard Dolna is currently Dean of Studies and Assistant Professor for Ecumenical and Jewish Studies at the International Theological Institute for Studies on Marriage and Family in Trumau .

Bernhard Dolna is married to the actress Gabriele Schuchter and has four children.
