Bernhard Hofmann-Wellenhof

Bernhard Hofmann-Wellenhof (born October 7, 1951 in Graz ) is an Austrian geodesist and works as a university professor at the Technical University of Graz .

After attending the Academic Gymnasium Graz, he studied surveying at the Graz University of Technology from 1970 to 1976 . He started his research career as an assistant to Helmut Moritz . In 1978 he was promoted to Dr. techn. doctorate , in 1983 he completed his habilitation, since 1986 he has been an associate professor at Graz University of Technology. Hofmann-Wellenhof is a founding member of the Austrian Association for Navigation (?) And the author of numerous scientific publications in the fields of higher geodesy , land surveying , navigation and satellite geodesy . Since 2011 he has been Vice Rector for Teaching at TU Graz.

He is politically active in the Austrian People's Party . In 1995 he was a member of the state parliament for a short time , he is a member of the Graz municipal council .
