Bernhard Jestaedt

Bernhard Jestaedt (born October 30, 1939 in Münster ) was a judge at the Federal Court of Justice from 1986 until he retired in 2004 .

Life

After completing his legal training and doctorate as Dr. iur. Jestaedt joined the judicial service of the state of Hesse . In 1971 he was appointed judge for life and was initially a judge at the Fulda Regional Court in this capacity . In 1975 Jestaedt was appointed judge at the Higher Regional Court .

1986 Jestaedt was elected judge at the Federal Court of Justice. The presidium of the court assigned him to the 10th civil senate , of which he had been a member, since 1993 also as deputy chairman, during his entire membership in the Federal Court of Justice. Since 1989 Jestaedt was also a member of the Senate for patent attorney matters . Since 1995 he has held the position of deputy chairman here as well.

Jestaedt is honorary professor at the Justus Liebig University in Giessen .
