Bernhard Loeser
Bernhard Loeser (born April 17, 1835 in Quedlinburg ; † May 2, 1901 in Berlin ) was a German entrepreneur.
Life
He was born the son of the Jewish merchant Louis Loeser and Sophie Loeser , née Behrend . The family lived at 256 Breite Straße in Quedlinburg.
The manufacturer Bernhard Loeser and Karl Wolff founded a cigarette trading business in Berlin on Alexanderplatz in 1865. Until his death there were 65 corner stores in Berlin alone, under the name " Loeser & Wolff an der Ecke". His grave is in the Jewish cemetery in Berlin-Weißensee .
