Berta Bethge

Berta Bethge (born January 1, 1829 in Calbe , † July 30, 1905 in Dresden ) was a German writer . She also wrote under the pseudonym Caritas .

Life

Bethge was born in Calbe on the Saale. She had three sisters with whom she ran a cleaning business in Magdeburg for several years. On October 15, 1885, she entered the Magdeburg Georgenstift as a preamble . Here she began to devote herself to writing. Her publications dealt mainly with the history of Magdeburg. Bethge died with a sister in Dresden, where she was also buried.
