Bertha Díaz

Bertha Díaz ( Julia Bertha Díaz Hernández; born October 1, 1936 in Havana ) is a former Cuban hurdler , sprinter and long jumper .

In 1955 she won the Pan American Games in Mexico City over 60 m and won silver over 80 m hurdles . At the Olympic Games in Melbourne in 1956 , she reached the semi-finals over 80 m hurdles.

She also won over 80 m hurdles at the Pan American Games in Chicago in 1959 and was eliminated in the preliminary run at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome.

At the Central America and Caribbean Games in 1962, she won over 80 m hurdles and in the long jump.

In 1955, 1956 and 1958 she was US champion in the 80 m hurdles.
