Berthold Woltze
Berthold Woltze (born August 24, 1829 in Havelberg ; † November 29, 1896 in Weimar ) was a German genre painter, portrait painter and illustrator.
Berthold Woltze was a professor at the Grand Ducal Saxon Art School in Weimar . In the period from 1871 to 1878 he published many of his works in the " Gartenlaube ". Probably his best-known work is "The Annoying Cavalier" (1874).
He is the father of the architectural painter Peter Woltze (1860–1925).
