Bertram J. Mayer

Bertram J. Mayer (* 1943 in Salzburg ; † January 25, 2013 ) was an Austrian architect . He was a founding member of the architecture group Zünd-Up and the architecture action group Salt of the Earth .

Life

Mayer completed an apprenticeship as a stonemason in his father's business and then studied architecture from 1964 to 1971 at the Vienna Technical University . He was involved in planning social housing and was involved in the ÖBB train station offensive. His work has also been part of exhibitions on several occasions, for example in Vienna at the Museum of Modern Art (MUMOK) and in Paris at the Center Georges Pompidou .
