Bertrand Balas

Bertrand Balas (born March 8, 1956 ) is a French racing car driver .

Career

Bertrand Balas was active in motorsport from 1979. He achieved his first successes in Formula Renault . In the French championship he was fourth overall in 1979 (overall winner Alain Ferté ) and 1980 (overall winner Denis Morin ).

Between 1981 and 1993 he was active as a rally driver and celebrated several class wins in the Tour de France for automobiles . In 1993 he started with GT and sports car racing. He drove in the French Porsche Carrera Cup and went to the side of René Arnoux and Justin Bell in 1994 at the 24-hour race at Le Mans at the start.

In the 2000s he was involved in the French GT Championship and has been a regular participant in the Andros Trophy for many years .
