Denis Morin (born September 6, 1956 in Elbeuf ) is a former French racing driver .

Racing career

Denis Morin began his international career in the French Formula Renault Championship , where he finished ninth overall in the championship in 1978 on a Martini Mk24 (overall winner Philippe Alliot ahead of Joël Gouhier ). Also in the following year - this time Alain Ferté won the overall standings ahead of Gouhier - he finished this championship in ninth place overall. In 1980 Morin was the overall winner. In 1981 he switched to Formula 3 . He drove in the Formula 3 European Championship , some races in the German Championship and in 1984 (Champion Olivier Grouillard ) finished fifth in the French championship .

Even during his time as a Formula Renault driver, Morin competed in sports car races . In 1979 he made his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans , where he competed a total of eight times up to 1994 .
