Jean-François Yvon (born November 24, 1958 in Neuilly-sur-Seine ) is a French racing driver .

Career

Jean-François Yvon is one of the little-known racing drivers who have been active in motorsport for more than 20 years. Between 1984 and 2011 he competed 13 times in the 24 Hours of Le Mans . His career began in 1979 in Formula 3 and, after a lack of involvement in monoposto racing, led to sports car racing in the early 1980s. After many years in motorsport, fourth place overall at the Petit Le Mans 2011 was his best place in an international sports car race. In Road Atlanta he was partner of Alexandre Prémat and Olivier Pla and drove a Pescarolo 01 . The winners Franck Montagny , Stéphane Sarrazin and Alexander Wurz in the Peugeot 908 were missing 10 laps after 9½ hours of driving; to third place, which was achieved by Adrián Fernández , Harold Primat and Stefan Mücke in the Lola-Aston Martin LMP1 , four laps.

Yvon was a team member of the Compétition of Yves Courage and in recent years, regular driver of OAK Racing team of his friend Jacques Nicolet .
