Stefan Mücke (born November 22, 1981 in Berlin ) is a German automobile racing driver and the son of the team boss and former racing driver Peter Mücke .

Career

Mücke won the championship title in the Formula BMW ADAC Championship in 1998 and the runner-up in the German Formula 3 Championship in 2001 .

From 2002 to 2006 he drove for Mercedes-Benz in the DTM , his best result was fourth place at the 2006 Norisring . In 2007 Mücke drove for All-inkl.com in the FIA-GT series and scored a victory there in the debut race. In 2008 he raced in the Le Mans Series for the Czech Charouz team in a Lola - Judd in the LMP1 championship.

2007 and 2008 mosquito was also present for Charouz at the 24-hour race at Le Mans in part.

In 2008 Stefan Mücke won two titles in the Czech endurance championship. In the six-hour race he and his Czech team Charouz Racing System became team champion and champion in the 3500 cm³ class together with team boss Antonin Charouz and Tomáš Enge in the AMG Mercedes C-Class 2005. In the overall individual ranking the driver, he was also fifth. Stefan Mücke was a works driver for Aston Martin since 2008. First he drove in the top sports car class, the LMP1, and later in the more near-series GTE-Pro (Pro stands for professional / professional racing drivers - in contrast to GTE-Am, the amateurs). In 2011 he was runner-up in the FIA GT1 World Championship . From 2012 to 2015 he drove for Aston Martin in the FIA ​​World Endurance Championship.

For the 2016 season, Stefan Mücke switched to Ford Performance, the Ford works team. He will be competing in the GTE Pro class again with a Ford GT - including the LeMans 24h . His teammates are Marino Franchitti , Olivier Pla and Andy Priaulx . In the 2017 season he will also compete for Mücke Motorsport in a Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the ADAC GT Masters together with Sebastian Asch .
