During this time, future Formula 1 drivers Christian Klien , Robert Kubica , Sebastian Vettel , Markus Winkelhock and Sébastien Buemi also drove for Mücke . DTM
In 2005 Mücke became a works team for Mercedes-Benz in the DTM. In the first season, two Mercedes C-Class cars from the previous year (2004) competed. In addition to the Greek Alexandros Margaritis , the team also engaged the son of the team owner Stefan Mücke . With the technically inferior year-old cars, the team was able to achieve four top ten positions.
As a result of the respectable debut results, Mercedes-Benz entrusted the Berliners with three vehicles in the 2006 season . In addition to the mandatory two-year-old cars, a two-year-old car was also used. The drivers of the 2006 season were Stefan Mücke and Daniel la Rosa in the year-old car, and Susie Stoddart from Scotland in the 2004 model. The team was able to achieve a place in the top ten five times, including a fourth place for Stefan Mücke at the Norisring .
In 2007 Mücke used three C-classes again. Stefan Mücke left the team for LMS and Mathias Lauda , the son of three-time Formula 1 world champion Niki Lauda , joined the team. Together with la Rosa and Stoddart, the team was able to land in the points four times. At the season opener in Hockenheim , Daniel la Rosa from Hanau even achieved the team's only podium finish to date with third place.
From the 2008 season onwards , Mücke only ran two annual cars. After la Rosa left the DTM and Lauda and Stoddart started for Persson Motorsport in the future , Mücke signed two DTM newcomers: In addition to the reigning runner-up in the British Formula 3 Championship , Maro Engel, the former Formula 1 driver Ralf Schumacher was able to work for the team will be won. Schumacher achieved three championship points this year, Engel's best result was a ninth place at the Norisring in Nuremberg .
For 2009 Schumacher switched to the new car from HWA . Engel stayed with the team and Mathias Lauda returned from Persson to Mücke. After Engel was able to convince with constant points, Lauda only got one point in the chaos race in Dijon-Prenois . At the end of the season, Engel was the fourth-best driver of the annual car with eight points and was only one point less than the six-time F1 Grand Prix winner Ralf Schumacher in a technically better new car.
In 2010 , alongside Maro Engel, the former Formula 1 driver and 13-time Grand Prix winner David Coulthard started for the team. Mathias Lauda not only had to vacate his cockpit, he also had to leave the DTM.
At the end of the 2016 DTM season , the cooperation was terminated by Mercedes, as, according to the regulations, from 2017 only six emergency vehicles per manufacturer should start.
