The 2005 German Touring Car Masters was the sixth season of the German Touring Car Masters ( DTM ). The first run took place on April 17, 2005 at the Hockenheimring and the season finale also took place on October 23 at the Hockenheimring.

A total of 11 races were held in Germany , Belgium , the Czech Republic , the Netherlands and Turkey .

Overall winner was the Briton Gary Paffett in the AMG-Mercedes C-Class with 84 points. Opel ended its involvement in the DTM after the 2005 racing season.

history

The venues Estoril and Adria have been replaced by Spa-Francorchamps and Istanbul in the racing calendar.

DTM racing cars that were built between 2000 and 2003 inclusive were no longer registered. Only vehicles from 2004 and 2005 were allowed to start.
