Ekström 2007 at Brands Hatch on the way to his second DTM championship title

In addition, he made a guest start in a Porsche 997 GT3 RSR at the VLN endurance championship Nürburgring , where he achieved pole position , but failed in the race. He also took part in the Nürburgring 24-hour race once more. Starting in an Audi R8 LMS , his team finished 23rd in the overall standings.
