The 2018 DTM season was the 32nd DTM season and the 19th since the series was re-established in 2000. The season began on May 4th, 2018 in Hockenheim and ended on October 14th at the same place.

Guest starters

Compared to previous years, for the 2018 season every manufacturer is allowed to nominate a guest starter for a race weekend. The guest starter takes part in both runs, but the results achieved are not counted, so that if they are placed in the points, the following drivers move up.

Race calendar and results

The racing calendar was increased from 18 to 20 races on ten race weekends for the 2018 season. The Moscow Raceway event has been removed from the calendar. For the first time, DTM races took place at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli . In addition, the DTM returned to the Brands Hatch Circuit for the first time since the 2013 season. The races at Circuit Park Zandvoort have been moved from August to July.
