The German Touring Car Masters 2004 was the fifth season of the German Touring Car Masters ( DTM ). The first run took place on April 18, 2004 at the Hockenheimring and the season finale also took place on October 3 at the Hockenheimring.

A total of 11 races were held in Germany , Portugal , Italy , the Czech Republic , the Netherlands and the People's Republic of China . The invitation race held in Shanghai on July 18 was not counted towards the DTM championship.

The overall winner was the Swede Mattias Ekström in the Audi A4 DTM with 74 points.
