2011 season>

The 2010 DTM season was the eleventh DTM season . The first run took place on April 25, 2010 at the Hockenheimring . The season finale took place on November 28, for the first time since the DTM re-run in 2000, not at the Hockenheimring but in Shanghai .

A total of 11 races were held in Germany , Spain , the Netherlands , Great Britain , Italy and the People's Republic of China .

Overall winner was the Scot Paul di Resta in an AMG-Mercedes C-Class with 71 points.

history

For the 2010 season, the DTM regulations were “frozen” in order to reduce costs for the two manufacturers. Audi and Mercedes started the season with unchanged racing cars from the previous year.

The races in Zolder and the Sachsenring were canceled and replaced by races in Valencia and Shanghai . During the current season, in addition to the ten originally planned races, an eleventh race was planned in the Italian Adriatic Sea .

The Kolles team withdrew from the DTM after four years after the end of the 2009 season.

Former British Formula 1 driver David Coulthard started in the DTM for the first time and replaced the Austrian Mathias Lauda at Team Mücke Motorsport . Also new this season were Congfu Cheng for Persson Motorsport and Miguel Molina for Audi Sport Rookie Team Abt in the DTM. Before the season finale in Shanghai, Alexandre Prémat was replaced by Darryl O'Young on Team Phoenix .
