Daniel Mancinelli (born July 23, 1988 in San Severino Marche ) is an Italian racing driver . He competes in the Italian Porsche Carrera Cup in 2012 .

Career

Mancinelli began his motorsport career in karting and was active in this sport until 2008. From 2006 he also competed in formula racing . He took part in four Formula Azzurra races and achieved a podium finish. In 2007 he contested the entire season of the Italian Formula Renault , which he finished in 16th place overall. In 2008 Mancinelli competed in several racing series. His main focus was on the international Formula Master , in which he drove for various teams. With a second place as the best result, he finished the season 13th in the championship. In addition, Mancinelli again took part in some races of the Italian Formula Renault and made his debut in the Italian Formula 3 championship , in which he immediately finished third on the podium. Following the regular season, he won the Italian Formula Renault winter championship. In addition to his involvement in formula racing, Mancinelli made his debut in GT racing and took part in an event of the Italian Porsche Carrera Cup .

In 2009 Mancinelli competed for One Racing in the Italian Formula Renault. He scored six wins and won the championship title. In addition, he started for his team in some races of the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup . He finished this championship in 19th place overall. In 2010 Mancinelli competed for the Ghinzani team in the Italian Formula 3 championship. He won two races, stood on the podium seven times and finished fourth in the championship. He also took part in two Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup events for One Racing this year. In 2011 Mancinelli switched to RP Motorsport within the Italian Formula 3 championship and won the season opener. After the first half of the season, the team got out of the championship and Mancinelli was without a cockpit. He finished eleventh in the overall standings. He finally switched to RSC Mücke Motorsport in the GP3 series . He participated in two events . He finished the season in 35th place overall.

In 2012 Mancinelli left formula racing and switched to GT racing in the Italian Porsche Carrera Cup at MIK Corse .
