Nico Marvin Monien (born April 8, 1990 in Berlin ) is a German racing driver .

Career

Like most motorsport enthusiasts, Monien began his career in karting , which he practiced from 1998 to 2007. Among other things, he was third in the Spanish ICA Championship in 2006 . In 2008, the German was in the ADAC Formula Masters debut in single-seater racing and won two victories at first the runner-up title of the series behind his teammate Armando Parente . In 2009 Monien switched to the German Formula 3 Cup and started for Zettl Motorsport . After finishing five races on the podium, he won his first race in the German Formula 3 in the second race at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz . At the end of the season he finished fifth overall and was behind his teammate Markus Pommer , who was third without a win has been. He also made his debut as a guest driver at Mücke Motorsport at the season finale of the Formula 3 Euro Series .
