Formula 3 Euro Series 2004 season
The 2004 Formula 3 Euro Series season was the second season of the Formula 3 Euro Series . A total of ten race weekends took place. The start on April 17, 2004 and the season finale on October 3, 2004 took place at the Hockenheimring . Jamie Green won the drivers championship. His team ASM Formule 3 won the teams championship.
Regulations
Technical regulations
Only registered vehicles born between 2002 and 2004 were allowed to participate. An engine change after the technical acceptance was not permitted and the minimum weight was 550 kg plus driver. The engine was limited to a maximum of 2000 cm³ displacement and four cylinders and was not allowed to be charged. For the homologation of the engine, at least 2500 series copies were required in twelve consecutive months. An air flow limiter with a maximum diameter of 26 mm was prescribed. During the current season, the engine could only be exchanged twice without penalty. The catalytic converter prescribed by the FIA was to be used and telemetry was prohibited. The fuel had to be Aral Ultimate 100 from the prescribed dispensing point.
Any active suspension was forbidden. Prescribed tires: KUMHO ECSTA S / W 700, front 180/550 R 13, rear 240/570 R 13. A total of three sets of slick tires were allowed, whereas the number of rain tires was free.
Power transmission: A maximum of two drive wheels and six forward gears were allowed. Automatic transmissions, traction control and ABS were prohibited.
Sporting regulations
There was a 90-minute free practice session on the race weekend. A 30-minute qualifying took place for each of the two races. The starting grid resulted from the result of the qualifying. The race on Saturday went over 110 km, the race on Sunday over 80 km.

Racing calendar
A total of ten race weekends took place, eight of which were part of the DTM supporting program . The race in Magny-Cours was part of the Formula 1 supporting program and the Formula 3 Euro Series races were the main event at the Pau Grand Prix. There were two races on each race weekend. There was a qualifying for every race.
Ratings
The points were awarded in both races according to the same scheme (10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1 points for the first eight pilots and one point for the pole position ). Franck Perera won the Rookie Cup and France the Nations Cup .
