Charles Zwolsman (born June 15, 1979 in Lelystad ) is a Dutch racing driver and the son of Charles Zwolsman senior .

Career

Charles Zwolsman started his racing career in karting before moving on the Formula Ford and Formula Renault in the Formula 3 came. In two seasons in the Formula 3 Euro Series , the Dutchman did not get above the overall positions 16 and 17.

In 2005, Zwolsman went to the USA and made his Formula Atlantic debut for Condor Motorsports . Zwolsman reached pole position in his first race in Long Beach . But the vehicle failed the technical inspection and Zwolsman had to start the race from last place on the grid, which he finished third. Zwolsman won three races of the season and at the end of the year just secured the championship ahead of his strongest competitors Tõnis Kasemets and Katherine Legge . As a Formula Atlantic champion, Zwolsman made his debut in the Champ Car at the last races of the season in Mexico City .

In 2006 he contested a full champ car season for Mi Jack Conquest Racing and was 13th in the championship.

In 2009 Zwolsman drove an Audi R10 TDI for Colin Kolles in the Le Mans Series and competed with the sports prototype in the 1000 km race in Spa and the 24-hour race in Le Mans .
