Formula racing

From 2000 up to and including 2009, SRT was active in formula racing. The team initially entered the German Formula 3 Cup , but switched to the Formula 3 Euro Series in 2003 and 2004 . In 2005 SRT returned to the German Formula 3 Cup and in 2008 achieved the only title held by Frédéric Vervisch there . However, Verwisch switched to Jo Zeller Racing during the season and scored only two of his seven wins with SRT.

Gran Turismo

In 2007 the Swiss Racing Team expanded into Gran Turismo . For two years, the team supervised the use of the Aston Martin DBR9 from Jetalliance Racing in the FIA GT Championship . Between 2007 and 2008 the team achieved six victories in this racing series with drivers Karl Wendlinger and Ryan Sharp . Jetalliance Racing was third overall in the team classification in 2007 and 2008.

In 2009 SRT took on the same function as technical supervisor for the Saleen S7R of the Czech team from K plus K Motorsport in the FIA GT Championship. The racing team won the races at Silverstone and Hungaroring with Wendlinger and Sharp . However, the victory in Hungary was withdrawn due to a failed stable test and the subsequent disqualification. K plus K Motorsport withdrew the Saleen from the series after that race and ended the season.

FIA GT1 World Championship

In 2010 the Swiss Racing Team switched to the newly announced FIA GT1 World Championship . As the official Nissan customer team, SRT used two Nissan GT-Rs as one of two teams . Karl Wendlinger shared a vehicle with Henri Moser , the 2007 GT3 European Champion . The team's second Nissan GT-R was driven by Japanese Le Mans winner Seiji Ara and former SRT Formula 3 driver Max Nilsson . The best results of 2010 were two tenth places for Wendlinger and Moser, while Ara and Nilsson remained without points. The Swiss Racing Team therefore only finished tenth in the team classification.

In 2011, the Swiss Racing Team stayed in the FIA GT1 World Championship , but changed manufacturers and used two Lamborghini Murciélago LP670 R-SVs developed by Reiter Engineering . Karl Wendlinger and Max Nilsson competed again for the Othmar Weltis team. The experienced GT driver Peter Kox drove together with Wendlinger, Nilsson started together with the Czech Jiří Janák . Both SRT vehicles were badly damaged by an accident at the fourth race of the season at the Sachsenring , so that the team decided to withdraw from the championship after lengthy attempts to solve problems.
