Reiter Engineering is a German company in the field of vehicle tuning . In addition, the company is involved in automotive motorsport as a Reiter Raceteam .

Companies

In 2000, Reiter Engineering was founded by Hans Reiter in Kirchanschöring in Upper Bavaria . In 2013 the company was expanded to include the SaReNi Camaro branch. Reiter Engineering develops and produces Lamborghini GT1 and GT3 and Camaro GT3 racing cars for motorsport. The company offers tuning solutions for street legal Lamborghini vehicles.

Motorsport

Reiter Engineering is the only company in the world that develops and produces pure racing cars for motorsport on the basis of Lamborghini and Camaro street cars. The cars are used in various racing series such as the Le Mans Series . In the ADAC GT Masters , the team fielded four Lamborghini Gallardo LP600 + vehicles until mid- 2012 . 2010 won Peter Kox and Albert von Thurn und Taxis the overall standings.

Reiter has been producing the SaReNi Camaro GT3 since 2013. This racing car is based on the Chevrolet Camaro and has a 7.9 liter V8 engine that develops over 478 kW (650 hp). The Reiter racing team uses the mostly black painted car in the ADAC GT Masters. In 2015, a closed GT4 version of the KTM X-Bow was also developed, which is successfully used in the GT4 European Cup . The car develops 320 hp from a turbocharged 2-liter in-line four-cylinder engine and is equipped with a hinged aerodynamic plastic pulpit that the pilot can use to get in.

At the 2011 edition of the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring , Reiter reported a Lamborghini LG 600 with the start number 34 . Hans-Joachim Stuck was supposed to end his active motorsport career at the end of the race. His sons Johannes and Ferdinand , who also drive for the Reiter team in the ADAC GT Masters, and Dennis Rostek completed the four-man line-up of “Stuck³”. The team finished the race in 15th place overall, 8 laps behind. After the race, "Strietzel" Stuck ended his career as announced.
