Formula 3 Euro Series 2010 season

The 2010 Formula 3 Euro Series season was the eighth season of the Formula 3 Euro Series . It comprised a total of nine race weekends with two races each. The season began on April 10, 2010 at the Paul Ricard Circuit and ended on October 17 at the Hockenheimring . The drivers 'championship title was won early by Edoardo Mortara , whose Signature team won the teams' championship.

Changes during the season

Four guest starters competed on the second race weekend. After the second race weekend Adrian Quaife-Hobbs left Motopark Academy . On the third race weekend he was replaced by Kevin Magnussen . From the fifth race weekend onwards, Mika Mäki and Christopher Zanella , who competes as guest starters, strengthened the Motopark Academy's driver line-up.

Racing calendar

The original racing calendar for the 2010 Formula 3 Euro Series season was published on December 18, 2009 and comprised nine racing weekends with two races each. On January 29, 2010, a revised race calendar was presented, which only comprised eight runs. The race at the EuroSpeedway Lausitz was canceled without replacement and the season finale, which was originally to be held at the Hockenheimring, was moved to Magny-Cours. On February 20, 2010, this calendar was also revised. The last race took place in Hockenheim as originally planned, whereas the race in Magny-Cours was canceled. The season opener now took place in Le Castellet. The other eight race weekends took place as part of the DTM supporting program .
