Henkie Waldschmidt (born June 28, 1988 in The Hague ) is a Dutch racing driver .

Waldschmidt began his motorsport career in 1995 in kart racing , in which he was active until 2005. He won some junior championships. In 2006 he moved into the single-seater racing and launched both in the Italian Formula Renault , and in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup . While he finished 15th overall in the Eurocup, he was sixth in the Italian Formula Renault. In 2007 he stayed in the two championships and finished seventh overall in both driver ratings. This year he got a total of three wins.

In 2008 Waldschmidt switched to the Formula 3 Euro Series for SG Formula and he remained without points in his first season. His best result was a seventh place. In 2009 Waldschmidt contested his second season in the Formula 3 Euro Series for SG Formula. This year he got his first places in the points and he finished 12th in the overall standings at the end of the season.

In December 2008, Waldschmidt made his first experiences in a Formula 1 car during test drives for the Toyota team .
