Luís Jorge Sá Silva (born August 23, 1990 in Benguela ) is a former Angolan racing car driver . He started in 2013 and 2014 with a Macau racing license in the GP3 series .

Career

Sá Silva began his motorsport career in 2006 in formula racing and initially competed in Asian series. He started in the international Formula Challenge and finished ninth in the drivers' championship. In 2007 Sá Silva switched to the Asian Formula Renault Challenge at Champ Motorsport . With a podium placement, he reached 14th place overall in his first season. In 2008 Sá Silva improved to fourth place in the Asian Formula Renault Challenge. He was on the podium three times this season. In addition, he took part in two races of the winter series of the Portuguese Formula Renault and started as a guest starter in a race of the Pacific Formula BMW . In 2009, Sá Silva won six of twelve races for the Asia Racing Team starting in the Asian Formula Renault Challenge and was runner-up behind Alon Day . He also took part in the Northern European Formula Renault for Krenek Motorsport in Europe . and reached the 21st place overall.

In 2010, Sá Silva competed in individual races in Formula 3 championships for Motopark Academy exclusively in Europe . In the Austrian Formula 3 championship, he achieved ninth place overall with a win. He also took part in the first three German Formula 3 events and made a guest appearance in the Formula 3 Euro Series . In 2011 Sá Silva returned to the Asia Racing Team in Asia and started in the Formula Pilota China Series . He won two races and was runner-up behind Mathéo Tuscher with 124 to 189 points .

In 2012 Sá Silva moved to Europe again. For the Angola Racing Team , a racing team supervised by Prema Powerteam , he competed in the Formula 3 Euro Series and was also entitled to points in the European Formula 3 Championship . Sá Silva reached 13th place in European Formula 3 and 14th overall in the Formula 3 Euro Series. For the 2013 season , Sá Silva received a cockpit with Carlin in the GP3 series. He started with a Macau racing license. While his teammates Nick Yelloly and Alexander Sims reached the podium, Sá Silva remained without points. At the end of the season he was in 23rd place. In 2014 , Sá Silva stayed with Carlin in the GP3 series. His teammates Alex Lynn and Emil Bernstorff won both races and were first and fifth at the end of the season. With a seventh place as the best result, Sá Silva was 19th overall.

In the Auto GP season 2016 , Sá Silva drove for the Austrian team Zele Racing and ended his career at the end of the season.
