Johan Jokinen

Johan Daniel Valentiner Jokinen (born June 20, 1990 in Copenhagen ) is a Danish racing driver .

Career

Jokinen began his motorsport career at the age of ten in karting , in which he was active from 2000 to 2006. Among other things, he was Danish vice junior champion in 2005 and third in the European ICA championship in 2006. In 2007 he switched to formula racing and competed in various formula classes. His main focus was on the Danish Formula Ford , in which he won the runner-up title with five victories. He also became champion of the Danish Formula Ford Junior Cup, which was awarded as part of the Danish Formula Ford. After taking part in several races of the Northern European Formula Renault in 2007 , he entered this series in 2008 and finished fifth in the overall standings with one win. He also took part in four races of the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup .

In 2009 Jokinen switched to the German racing team Kolles & Heinz Union and competed in the Formula 3 Euro Series . The Dane remained without points and finished 24th overall with a ninth place as the best season position. In addition, he again took part in four races of the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup. In 2010 he started in Formula 2 and was third in the second race on the podium at the first race weekend. From the fourth race weekend onwards, he no longer competed and was 17th overall at the end of the season.

In 2011 he competed for Cedars in the first four races of the European F3 Open . He scored two wins. At the end of the season he was on the tenth championship course. He then took part in one event each of the Northern European Formula Renault and Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocups for KEO Racing . In 2012 Jokinen will compete for KEO Racing in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup.
