Atte Mustonen (born September 16, 1988 in Heinola ) is a Finnish racing driver .

Mustonen began his motorsport career in karting in 2001 , where he was active until 2004 and was able to win several championship titles. In 2005, the young gun moved to the single-seater racing and immediately won the winter series of the Italian Formula Renault . He then started in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup , in which he finished 20th overall, and in the German Formula Renault, in which he finished ninth in the drivers' standings with a race win. In 2006 he improved to ninth place overall in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup and was also eleventh in the Northern European Formula Renault.

In 2007 Mustonen switched to the British Formula 3 championship for Raikkonen Robertson Racing , the racing team of his compatriot Kimi Raikkonen . With one win and another four podium finishes, he finished seventh overall at the end of the season. In 2008 the Finn contested his second season in the British Formula 3 championship. He won another race and achieved four podium finishes, but these results were enough for sixth overall this season. In 2009 the young racing driver switched to the Formula 3 Euro Series at the Motopark Academy racing team . After the first four race weekends he had to take a break for health reasons and he was replaced by Renger van der Zande for one race weekend . After Mustonen was able to take part again in the following two races, he was finally replaced by van der Zande three race weekends before the end. At the end of the season he finished 19th overall.
