Jake Rosenzweig (born April 14, 1989 in London , United Kingdom ) is an American racing driver . He competed in the Formula Renault 3.5 from 2010 to 2012 . In 2013 he competed in the GP2 series .

Career

After Rosenzweig was active in karting between 1998 and 2007 , he switched to formula racing . While he had little success in the Formula Renault 2.0 Eurocup and only finished 28th in the overall standings, he finished eighth in the Western European Formula Renault . For 2009 he moved to Carlin Motorsport in the Formula 3 Euro Series . With a podium finish in Zandvoort , he finished 18th overall at the end of the season. He also started for his team as a guest starter at a racing weekend in the British Formula 3 championship .

In the 2009/2010 season of the GP2 Asia series , Rosenzweig started for Super Nova Racing in the second half of the season and finally finished 30th overall. In 2010 he competed for Carlin in the Formula Renault 3.5 . While his teammate Michail Aljoschin won the championship title, Rosenzweig only achieved seventh place as the best result and a pole position . He finished the season in 19th place overall. He also recorded for Super Nova Racing at a race weekend of the 2010 season, the Auto GP in part, finishing in 17th place in the drivers' standings. In 2011 he completed his second season in Formula Renault 3.5 for Mofaz Racing . After scoring just one point in the first twelve races, he finished three times in the points in the last five races. Fourth place was his best result. He finished the season in 15th place in the overall standings. After the season he took part in the GP2 Final 2011 for the Barwa Addax Team and finished 19th. 2012 Rosenzweig stayed in the Formula Renault 3.5. He started for ISR . While his teammate Sam Bird achieved third place overall, Rosenzweig only scored points in one race with a sixth place. He was ultimately in 21st place in the drivers' standings. In addition, Rosenzweig took part in two events of the 2012 season of the GP2 series for Barwa Addax. He stayed there with no points.

In 2013 Rosenzweig decided to switch completely to the GP2 series to Barwa Addax. In contrast to his team-mate Rio Haryanto , who finished second once, Rosenzweig did not score any points and finished the season in 28th place overall.
