Route data
The racetrack is 5.54 km long and its two long straights connected by the hairpin turn are rather unusual. The route is very wide (up to 22 m). The course allows two further variants of 2.61 km and 2.71 km. Driving is usually clockwise. The start / finish straight is 920 m long.
The Formula 1 track record in the race is 1: 34.080 min and was set by Sebastian Vettel on October 1, 2017 . The day before, Lewis Hamilton set the fastest lap ever driven there in 1: 30.076 minutes on the way to pole position. In Formula 1, 56 laps were driven, which corresponds to a total distance of 310.408 km.
Jorge Lorenzo drove in the first MotoGP test for the 2018 season with 1: 58.830 min, the fastest time ever set with a MotoGP motorcycle on this circuit.
