The Okayama International Circuit (1992 Tanaka International Circuit Aida [ TI Aida is built]) is a private racetrack in Mimasaka in the Japanese prefecture of Okayama . The racetrack is driven clockwise and is 12 to 15 meters wide.
history
In 1994 and 1995 , the TI Aida hosted the Formula 1 Pacific Grand Prix . Michael Schumacher won both races. This race made Japan, along with Germany , Great Britain , Italy , France , Spain and the USA , one of the seven countries that hosted more than one race per year.
The Tanaka International Circuit was sold in March 2003 and renamed "Okayama International Circuit" on May 1, 2004. The renaming also took place against the background of the amalgamation of various communities (including Aida) to form the city of Mimasaka. Between 2008 and 2010, the World Touring Car Championship was the first FIA race since 1995 at the Okayama International Circuit.
Racing events
Regular events include the Super GT Championship and the Japanese Formula 3 Championship , as well as national club and drift events and motorcycle races.
