Slovakiaring (other spelling: Slovakia Ring ) is a motorsport racing track near the municipality of Orechová Potôň ( Okres Dunajská Streda , Trnavský kraj ) on the flat Great Rump Island in Slovakia , about 36 km from the capital Bratislava . It was built from 2008 to 2009 and is the very first purpose-built circuit in Slovakia.
history
Construction of the racetrack began in October 2008 and was officially opened on October 1, 2009 and cost around 21.6 million euros. As part of the entire facility, an off-road track (1.5 km long), a kart track (800 m) and a three-star hotel were opened in 2011 .
