Sepang is an urban district in the south of the state of Selangor in Malaysia on the Malay Peninsula. The district capital is Salak Tinggi . The federal territory of Putrajaya is completely enclosed by Sepang.

About 75,000 people live on 59,966 hectares (1991 census). Forecasts relating to the Multimedia Super Corridor predict a population of two million people in 2020.

Sepang District is part (the southern end) of the Multimedia Super Corridor , a special economic zone. That is why the high-tech city Cyberjaya , the motorsport racetrack Sepang International Circuit and the 10 km² international airport of the capital Kuala Lumpur are located there .
