Cyberjaya
Cyberjaya is a newly founded city in Malaysia in 1999 , which extends in the Multimedia Super Corridor (MSC) about 50 km south of Kuala Lumpur . The urban area is around 50 km × 15 km and offers space for two universities, several hundred companies and around 83,000 residents, most of whom also work or study here, as well as numerous leisure facilities.
In addition to the new administrative headquarters of Malaysia Putrajaya, the city is the heart of the Multimedia Super Corridor, which was founded by the Malaysian government so that high-tech companies can settle here with state support - with the aim of making Malaysia on its way from an emerging country to a fully developed Support industrialized state .
Until recently, today's urban area consisted primarily of palm oil plantations .
