Justin Bell

Justin Bell (born February 23, 1968 in Rustington ) is a former British automobile racing driver and son of five-time Le Mans winner Derek Bell .

Career

Justin Bell primarily competes in sports car races. In 1992 he made his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Together with his father Derek Bell and Tiff Needell , he drove a Porsche 962C GTI . The trio reached twelfth overall. He achieved his best race on the Sarthe in 1995 when he again drove a McLaren F1 GTR with his father and British Andy Wallace . The team was always at the top of the race for 17 hours, but had to be content with third place overall at the finish.

In 1996 he tried unsuccessfully to qualify for the Indianapolis 500 mile race . In 1997 he won the GT2 class of the FIA GT Championship on a Chrysler Viper GTS-R of ORECA . In recent years he has competed regularly in the Grand American Road Racing Championship .
