Bertus Freese

Bertus Freese (born February 20, 1902 in Almelo , † November 21, 1959 ) was a Dutch national football player.

Freese played for Heracles Almelo club in the 1920s . With him he became Dutch champions in the 1926/27 season.

The following year Freese made his debut in the jersey of the Dutch national football team . At the 1928 Olympic Games in Amsterdam , Freese was on May 30, 1928 in the squad for the Netherlands' opening game against Uruguay. The Netherlands lost 2-0 to the eventual Olympic champion and had to be content with the consolation round of the tournament.

For Freese this was the only appearance in the national team.
